Purpose of Establishment Three major businesses of the research center include 1) investigation and research, 2) education and training and 3) publishing business, with a special focus on seeking industrial development through regional society development and enhancement of global understanding.
Major Activities 1)Investigation and research: Seeks scientific research in industries, offers policy advise for industrial development and at the same time pursues global exchange of research activities and joint research activities.
2)Education and training: Runs various educational courses and corporate training courses
3) Publications business: New industrial information and management knowledge acquired as result of research activities will be distributed using <newsletter> and <industrial development research> circulations format.

Purpose of Establishment Purpose of this research center lies in contributing to development of local scientific technology and industry through academic research on various latest fields from science & technology and through international joint research efforts.

Research Center for Archaeological Environment
Date of Establishment

Nov 1995
Purpose of Establishment To explore and research valuable cultural assets left to us by our forefathers before they are all gone away from development so as to publish record materials with which to publish record materials to reorganize history. At the same time the center will hold academic seminars, issue papers in and abroad and hold exhibitions and the like in order to carry out a pivotal role for Korea's archaeological history studies.
Major Activities 1)Carry out excavation activities of cultural assets buried in the Central regions
2)studied research materials are published in proper academic volumes
3)Graduates are trained to become researchers to carry out pivotal role at government institutions carrying with government institutions
4)hold exhibitions of relics collected.
5)holding of academic seminars and publish special features and separate volumes on the field of archaeological history.

Purpose of Establishment The industrial technology research center was opened up to keep up with the rapidly changing professional knowledge in latest engineering technology. Its mission lies in seeking development by integrating theory and application of latest engineering technology.
Major Activities 1)Gathering, analysis, examination and studying of materials related to latest engineering technology
2)Studying development of the latest engineering based technologies
3)Holding lectures and publishing periodicals for the purpose of improving latest engineering technology
4)Carry out various projects needed in facilitating achievement of goal from the latest engineering technology research center.

Research Center for North Korean Studies
Purpose of Establishment The Research Center for North Korean Studies academically researches and studies about the theories and realities in every aspects of North Korea including its politics, economy, society, culture and education with the aim of securing fundamental materials for national reunification and establish sound understanding on North Korean and towards reunification.
Major Activities The research center publishes research papers, holds seminars by local and overseas North Korea professionals and operates the North Korean reference room. It also develops research materials and texts needed by students at the North Korean Studies Department.
 
 
Economics and Statistics Institute
Date of Establishment

Purpose of Establishment 1) Theoretical complementation and extension of mutual application between economics and statistics
2) Establishment of regional community development
3) Provide a research center to nurture young talent related to the department of Economics and Statistics and BK21 program.
Major Activities 1) Research Analysis applying economic and statistical data in Economics including governmental statistical data
2) Reduction and collection of data and contents to improve Governmental Statistics
3) Providing many research guidance in cooperation with the National Statistical Office.
4) Public promotion and presentation of all kinds of research
