Based on the spirit of 'saving the country by education' and 'seeking truth grounded in concrete evidence', the major of Cyber Security offered on the Sejong Campus attempts to fulfill the vision of producing creative, convergence-type cyber security talent with professional knowledge and practical ability who are needed in both the public and private sectors. This major also attempts to compose a curriculum for the objective of producing four different tracks of talent: public & corporate security professionals, information protection consultants, talented individuals who can control and counteract a security accident, and cyber security product researchers.
1. Cyber security-related data gathering and analysis capability
Students who have the ability to quickly and precisely analyze malicious data from among a wealth of data, and are capable of becoming a cyber security professional.
2. Ability to solve problems creatively
Students who are interested in and have an ability to quickly solve a problem in cyber space based on their knowledge of information systems.
3. Convergent thinking capability
Students who possess basic ability to perform convergent research by bringing together knowledge from various fields such as mathematical information protection knowledge, computer-related knowledge, digital forensics, and information-protection law.

Based on the spirit of 'saving the country by education' and 'seeking truth grounded on concrete evidence', the Cyber Security major of Sejong Campus attempts to fulfill the vision of producing creative, convergence-type cyber security talent with professional knowledge and practical ability who are needed in the public and private sectors. The major also attempts to compose a curriculum for the objective of producing the following four different tracks of talent.
Information protection consultant : The occupational category that analyzes IT asset status and the weaknesses of enterprises, public institutions, and government ministries, and alerts them to additional information protection action that is required for safe operation. Potential positions include government-designated information protection consulting companies (SK infosec, AhnLab, A3Security, etc. Please refer to [Table 2]), information protection departments of major companies, information protection departments of public institutions and government ministries such as the Korea Internet & Security Agency.
Talented individuals who can control and counteract a security accident : The occupational category that detects, analyzes, and immediately counteracts cyber attacks to safely operate the IT asset and security system of financial companies, enterprises, public institutions, and government ministries. Potential positions include government-designated security control companies (IGLOO SECURITY, AhnLab, ICT Intelligent Security, KEPCO KDN, etc. Please refer to [Table 2]), and security control departments of public institutions such as the National Police Agency Cyber Bureau, the National Cyber Security Center, the National Intelligence Service, the National Computing and Information Service, and KrCERT(사이버침해대응센터).
Cyber security product researcher : This occupation involves work in the areas of domestic or foreign information protection technology, and product development companies as a researcher of software that is related with safe operation of information systems. Potential positions include large-scale SI businesses (Samsung SDS, LG CNS, Lotte Data Communication, etc), information protection product research, development companies and security ventures (AhnLab, SECUI, IGLOO SECURITY, Nowcom, etc), and other web service companies requiring development of information protection products (NHN, Daum, NCSoft, etc.).
