Introduction

The Korean Studies major aims to educate students in an integrated way based on Korean traditional culture, popular culture, society, language, literature and media, in order to make them improve their practical skills and knowledge. The major is to teach students about problem-solving skills for dealing with the changes of Korean culture, and eventually to produce 'Creative Future-Oriented Students' who will lead the 'Culture-Technology Age'.

Subjects offered by the major are: 'Cultural Informatization of Professional Knowledge of Korean Studies', 'Technicalization of Information related to Korean Studies', 'Development of Creative Project for Entering Korean Cultural Business', and ' Global Communication by Teaching Korean as a Foreign Language'.

Required Student Skills and Qualities

1. Ability to Create Culture
Students who have the abilities to improve an insight into Korean culture, and to make a plan in a creative way, and who are able to lead the Culture-Technology Age

2. Ability to Combine Knowledge and Skills in a Practical Way
Students who have the abilities to combine knowledge and skills, and to develop adventurous attitudes

3. Ability to Teach Korean
Students who have the abilities to teach Korean and Korean culture to foreigners, and to lead Korean language and Korean culture to the world on the basis of Korean Studies learned
