<10thKUS 2025+ Forum Held>

On December 17th, the 10th KUS 2025+ Forum was held in Korea University Sejong Campus’s Administration Building.

Yoon Seok Moo, the acting director, was invited for this forum’s lecture on the topic of ‘Promotion of Local Industry for the Innovative Growth of Sejong City.’

Vice President Kim Young said during a greeting speech and lecture introduction that, “The activation of Sejong City’s economy, innovative industry development, and smart economy realization are all important projects, and in order to help manage these projects, the Sejong Techno Park is there as part of the Regional Innovation Institute. I hope you think of great ideas to activate our school’s future value and industry-academia cooperation by listening to Yoon Seok Moo’s lecture, where you will hear his insights on both regional industry restoration and the training of human resources.”

Director Yoon’s lecture introduced Sejong City’s present conditions in general and the government’s promotion of regional industries’ policy direction. He then shifted to a discussion of Sejong City’s industry propulsion progress related to the promotion of regional industries and the condition of Sejong City’s main industries.

Also, Director Yoon introduced the government’s three main policies for innovative growth (employment/growth of income, innovative growth, equal economy) and talked about how these policies relate with the response to the Fourth Industrial Revolution regarding the government and private industries. Continuing, he spoke about the concept of the ‘Smart City,’ and ‘autonomous mobility’ among others, and what Sejong City has accomplished. He introduced what industries exist for innovative growth, along with their plans for the future and related expectations.

In other news, the Korea University Sejong Research and Business Foundation that organized this forum have continued to hold the KUS 2025+ Forum in order to share and communicate about Fourth Industrial Revolution research and to strengthen the R&D capability of the university. In every session, there were various lectures with various topics and numerous professors, employees, and students attended.
