Sejong Entrepreneurship Education Center Receives Both Group and Individual Commendation from Minister of Education Regarding Business of Sejong Start-up Experience Center for Cultivation of Career Development Capabilities

 

The Sejong Entrepreneurship Education Center’s successful progress in cultivating innovative and creative problem-solving human resources has led to a commendation from the Minister of Education in the ‘Field of Cooperation in Career Exploration Activities’ for Korea University Sejong Campus, and an individual field recognition for the head of the Sejong Entrepreneurship Education Center, Lee Dongheon, as well.

 

In 2020, the Sejong Entrepreneurship Education Center ran various programs such as a Teacher Workshop, the Sejong City Office of Education’s Sejong Career Fair Start-up Experience Booth, and a webzine publication from the Sejong City Office of Education. These events resulted in the reinforcement of teachers’ abilities to provide instruction in the experience of start-ups as well as reinforcing students’ entrepreneurial spirit, their problem-solving abilities, and their development in the cooperative system of experiential start-up education.

 

Due to COVID 19, the Sejong City Office of Education’s Sejong Career Fair Start-up Experience Booth was provided in an online video format, including videos from Forfit (CEO Yoon Junsan) on “Sports Taping, Protect My Body!”, and IDCo (CEO Park Sanghyun) on “Drone Piloting Experience,” and students were given practice kits in order to enjoy and experience the fair as if they were participating offline. A total of ten schools and 1,290 students joined in the event, and afterwards students commented that, “I think it will be efficient in our daily lives,” and “It helped me give me a basic perception and professional understanding of rehabilitation.”

 

With the help of the center, the Sejong Entrepreneurship Education Center has successfully achieved the reinforcement of relevant abilities and cooperative systems for Sejong City middle and high school students and teachers.
