Korea University Sejong Campus Holds ‘2023 Eco-up MOU and Progress-Sharing Event

On February 22, the Korea University Sejong Eco-Innovation Convergence College held the ‘2023 Eco-up Memorandum of Understanding and Student Progress-Sharing Event’ at Suk Won Hall.

The event was attended by around 100 people, including the head of the MOU organization, officials from five universities participating in the Eco-Innovation Convergence College Project, recipients of achievement awards, student performance winners, scholarship recipients, faculty members participating in the project, and project supporters.

The event was comprised of two sessions. In the first session, promotional videos of the project supporters were screened, and four MOUs were signed between the five Eco-up project teams, the Eco-up DSC Mobility ICT Business Center, the Eco-up Secondary Battery Project Team, and the Eco-up Sejong Techno Park.

The second session included an awards ceremony, progress presentations by undergraduate student researchers participating in the Eco-up program, progress presentations by undergraduate students participating in research support projects, an announcement of the winners of the supporter’s writing content, and an exhibition of achievements.

“The local government-connected Eco-Innovation Convergence College Project envisions fostering global individuals who can lead the growth of Korea’s eco-industry through cooperation among various related institutions in the Eco-up field,” stated Kim Young, the head of the project. He added, “We will continue to do our best to secure sustainable momentum by strengthening cooperation between related institutions and sharing the steady outcomes of the project.”

Relatedly, the project team was launched in June last year as part of the High-Tech Field of Innovation Convergence College Project and receives an annual budget of 10.2 billion won until 2026 from the Ministry of Education and National Research Foundation of Korea.
