Professor Ma Jaeheyong from the Department of Food and Biotechnology was elected as the co- editor of an international scholarly journal called the Journal of Food Processing & Technology.  

The first issue of The Journal of Food Processing & Technology was published in 2010 and the publisher, OMICS, which specializes in the field of food technology, is releasing 23 issues annually.  Professor Ma is in charge of evaluating scholarly journals in the field of food function, food safety, food nanoscience, food nutrition, and other fields related to food processing, as well as selecting the editorial staff and the panel of evaluators, and supervising the overall affairs of the editing committee. 

Professor Ma was also appointed as a professor at Korea University Sejong Campus in 2010 and has been continuously conducting research for national R&D projects in the field of food technology with the aim of enhancing the function and safety of food through the development of fermentation technology and discovering effective microorganisms and genetic resources, and these efforts and his skills have been acknowledged by his being appointed as co-editor.
