On August 19, after three grueling days in Kyunggi-do, Yangpyeong, Park Minji, a student from the Faculty of Global Sport Studies, held up the championship trophy after the KLPGA’s '2019 Bogner MBN Ladies Open.’ Park, who recorded a score of 14 under and a total of 199 strokes for the tournament, managed to overtake the 2nd place groups by a single stroke, achieving her first win this season and giving her a total of three career wins on tour. With this tournament victory, Park jumped to 9th place on the money list after receiving 120 million won in prize money.

In Park's 3rd year on tour, she has already claimed victories at the '2017 Samcheon-ri Together Open’ and the 'ADT Caps Championship' in November of last year. After her victory she spoke of her ambitions, saying, "My goal is to win once every year so I am glad I fulfilled my goal for this year. I focused on my own play in this tournament, which worked to my advantage. I do want to add another win to my record though in one of the remaining tournaments.”

In related news, Choi Hyejin, also a student from the Faculty of Global Sport Studies, shot 10 under for the tournament which was good for 8th place overall. Choi scored 23 grand prize points, giving her a total of 317 and the 1st place spot. Also, she is ranked first on the money list and in scoring average.
